Soccer Goal Nets

Any soccer goal you pick needs a durable soccer goal net made of a synthetic wrapped material and sized to fit the soccer goal you choose. Soccer nets can be custom or ready-made. The general rule of thumb is that a braided net is stronger than a twisted knot. Smaller mesh nets, that is, the space width of each soccer goal net block, lasts longer than large blocked mesh. It's always recommended to have a replacement net on hand, especially if the goal is frequently used.

Soccer nets come in a wide variety of colors, with red and white as the most popular. Soccer nets should be securely attached to the goal using fasteners, clips or bars. Hook-and-loop, Velcro-type strips adequately secure the soccer net as well.

Soccer Net Types
The best quality net you can find is HTPP, high tenacity polypropylene, which has a long life when exposed to the sun and other weather elements. Of course, HTPP tends to be more expensive than other varieties.

Nylon netting is the most common net produced in the United States. It comes in a variety of sizes, styles and thickness. Due to the availability of nylon, it is easy to have it custom retro-fitted to any soccer goal. Nylon varieties are durable, affordable and reliable.

PE, Polyethylene, is a thick yarn normally produced with a twisted knot. This variety is the most common net produced overseas and imported to the United States.
